Fur is one of the most sustainable commodities in the world. Animals are important to the environment, however too large a population can throw off the balance in their ecosystem. Man has been nurturing the balance with the advent of modern science-based wildlife management, keeping these animals in harmony with their environment, while not depleting the the population.
Faux fur, or fake fur is made from acrylic and polyester (an oil derivative), which are plastics and create toxins when being manufactured and shed micro plastics forever poisoning ground and rain water.
Real fur is always the most sustainable route.
