Fur is Green
True North Fur is Green
Today's fur synthetics are inferior to natural fur. Quality issues aside, synthetic furs are made from petroleum products which are non-renewable and not biodegradable.
Faux fur is actually plastic and takes approximately 10,000 years to disintegrate in a landfill!
For thousands of years, furs have been used and enjoyed for their warmth, beauty, and durability. Natural fur is organic and non-polluting. From an environmental perspective, as long as hunting and trapping are well regulated by professional wildlife biologists, natural fur is the superior choice. It is also warmer than any petroleum based nylon faux fur.

True North furs bear the OA™ mark, meaning they originate from countries (United States and Canada) where national or local regulations or standards governing fur production are in force. Only fur from approved species, sourced from approved countries, which is sold through participating auction houses, is entitled to carry the OA™ mark.
